Team lineup
Making the tangible open for discussion and looking beyond just the behavior
I see you!
Do you recognize that you and your team keep falling into the same patterns? That certain tensions or dynamics keep recurring, no matter how often you try to discuss them?
You are part of the team, but things aren't going the way you would like. Despite conversations, endless meetings, and good intentions, collaboration remains strained. It seems as if something is constantly happening that prevents you from truly making progress or achieving your goals. That is frustrating. Especially when the team isn't taken seriously by the organization either, and there seems to be little trust. The feeling can arise that you don't really matter, and that takes energy.
With a team constellation, we make visible what is happening beneath the surface. You gain insight into the underlying dynamics as well as what is needed to get things moving again. This creates more clarity, connection, and trust within the team.
When to use a team lineup?
- When conversations keep repeating themselves without a real breakthrough
- When tensions are palpable, but difficult to name
- When you notice that the team is not utilizing the potential that lies within it
- The same resistance and objections keep recurring, like a pattern
- Collaboration is stagnating and lacking, and you are looking for unity
A team constellation provides quick insight into what is happening beneath the surface and what is needed to create movement again. As a leader, you often feel that 'something isn't right' even before you can explain it. Conflicts simmer, roles are unclear, or decisions fail to land. A team constellation helps you make this undercurrent visible and steer change in a targeted manner.
Just like an organizational constellation, a team constellation can be conducted with representatives (not with your own team, but with independent individuals). Alternatively, it can be conducted with your own team in various forms. In that case, a thorough intake and guidance are certainly important. We take care of that.
This is of interest to managers, team leaders, and HR professionals who notice that their team is getting stuck in collaboration, communication, or interpersonal relationships and want to gain real insight into this.
A team constellation is a structured and carefully guided process. Below you can read what a session typically looks like:
1. Intake and clarification of questions
We discuss your question or the issue within the team beforehand. What is going on? Where are things getting stuck? And what would you like to see done differently?
We formulate a clear focus for the setup.
2. Start of the session
We create a safe setting where everything is allowed to be. You will receive a brief explanation of what a team constellation is and how we work.
3. Setting up the team
Using representatives (or floor anchors), the team is positioned in the space. This makes the interpersonal dynamics and relationships visible.
4. Insight into the undercurrent
During the constellation, it becomes clear what is at play on a deeper level: hidden patterns, loyalties, tensions, or missing elements. This often happens without much analysis, but through experiencing and observing.
5. Interventions and movement
We introduce small, targeted interventions to create movement. Think of shifting positions or saying helpful phrases. This often results in immediate change in the field.
6. Integration and translation into practice
After the constellation, we discuss the insights. What did you see? What does this mean for your role as a leader and for the team?
We translate this into concrete steps in daily practice.
7. Conclusion
We carefully conclude the session so that the insights can sink in and you can move forward with clarity and direction.
Duration: on average 1.5 to 2.5 hours per constellation
Location: on-site or in an external space
Participants: depending on the request (individual, with a team, or with representatives)
After a team constellation, you gain clear insight into what is really going on within your team. Patterns become visible, tensions become understandable, and direction for change emerges. This leads to more calm, better collaboration, and more effective decision-making.
You quickly gain insight into the core of the issue. This leads to breakthroughs where conversations often get stuck. Teams experience greater clarity, ownership, and mutual trust, which directly impacts performance and collaboration.
Additionally, we offer options for a refined and goal-oriented team development program.
